About The Author:
D. Keith Jones is a motivational speaker, author, and Senior Pastor at Rock Pointe church in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. He served as Assistant Vice President at a Fortune 200 company before dedicating his life to full time ministry. Involved in prison ministry, he has taught leadership development to inmates in the Georgia Department of Corrections.
On any given Sunday he has been known to use Poker playing cards, chrome dancing poles, rocks, tractors and footballs to teach God’s Word. He definitely sees things through a perspective that allows those who read or listen to him understand biblical truths in a clear manner. He articulates the Word in such a way that it is relevant and applicable to everyday life. You never know what He will bring with him to church on any given Sunday to illustrate complex theologies in the most simplistic way. Keith also enjoys writing and producing dramatic presentations such as, “From the Wall of Cell 309,” “Bethlehem Morning,” and “Heartbeat.”
Keith was born in Manchester, Tennessee to parents who served God in pastoral ministry for over 30 years. Nancy, Keith’s wife, also grew up in a church parsonage. Keith accepted the call into the ministry in 1987. He completed his education and was ordained in 1992. They live in Ringgold, GA and have three boys all of which are married. They have three wonderful daughter in laws and five awesome grandchildren.
In 2007, Keith and Nancy stepped out in faith to start a church in their home. The concept was to start a church focused on reaching out to the hurting, non Christian community. The first Sunday started with just the two of them, but within a month they grew to an attendance of eleven! They purchased an old church building and completely renovated it within 45 days. On December 4, 2007 they opened Rock Pointe Worship Center. God has been so faithful and today Rock Pointe is an independent church comprised of Christians from all walks of life. In 2009 Keith began the process of merging two church families’ together (Rock Pointe Worship Center & Cornerstone Community Church) to form Rock Pointe Church. Today, Keith serves as Senior Pastor of Rock Pointe Church. You can find out more about Keith’s ministry and Rock Pointe Church by visiting www.heismyrock.com.
